LOWELL — After two rounds of voting, Councilor Erik Gitschier was selected by his colleagues to become the next mayor of Lowell. Councilor Vesna Nuon was selected by one ballot for vice mayor during Monday's morning inauguration ceremony at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
