A Connecticut police officer who belonged to an far-right group accused a civil rights activist who complained to his department of trying to 'silence conservative voices,' according to a letter obtained by The ƒ. In his letter, addressed to the East Hampton Police Commissioner, Officer Kevin Wilcox said he had been a dues-paying member of the Proud Boys for about eight months. But he said he left the group because he suspected its members were being targeted by 'far-left political organizations' and labeled fanatics because of their 'love' for President Donald Trump.
