Ever since the first Amber Rose SlutWalk in 2014, women have marched in the streets riled up over sex positivity and rape culture. 'It doesn't matter what we have on, it's still not an excuse to come and touch me inappropriately or assume I want to f*ck you – because I don't,' Amber Rose told Harper's Bazaar back in 2018. As someone who is unquestionably pro-women, I will say that her fury over real cases of sexual assault and rape is totally valid. In terms of healthy hormone habits, I really do try my best. I ditched the pill years ago. My husband teases me for dry brushing my body with a 'horse brush' every morning and ' rubbing rocks on my face ' every night. I consume organ meat daily (in capsule form, but still), and I avoid seed oils . Although I had gained a lot of health knowledge, it wasn't until I had horrendous GI flareups and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease that I knew what I was dealing with. My hair health took a big hit, and my hormones were thrown for a loop. At one point I lost my period for eight months, then had irregular, painful periods for a solid two years, in addition to the digestive problems. I'm pretty easygoing, extroverted, and normally very bubbly, but within the last few months, I've been experiencing unexplained episodes of anger, depression, fatigue, anxiety, and hopelessness that are very much out of the norm for me. More often than not, people met their significant other through 'normal' means , like going to school together, working together, or being introduced by mutual friends. Before we had our baby boy last May, I had hardly been around babies. None of my close friends or family have little ones, so although I always knew that I wanted kids, I truly did not have much experience with anyone under the age of 4. Having babies someday was such a priority that it was a deal breaker in dating for me, but I didn't really know what having them would look, feel, and be like.  I did know what our culture was telling me – that I would be giving up a lot of personal freedom and dreams, that I would be up all night all the time, that I would lose friends and hardly get to see the ones who did stick around, and that my babies would be a financial burden.
